About Benidorm Pride

On the Costa Blanca, Benidorm has grown into one of Spain's bigger queer destinations, and Benidorm Pride Festival is the yearly high point of that scene. Spread across nearly a week, the program runs from bar nights in the old town to a full-scale parade that turns Levante Beach into one long celebration.

The parade traditionally sets off in the Rincón area right along Levante Beach, where thousands gather to watch a procession of floats, performers, DJs, and dancers pass by. From there it moves into the old town, filling the narrow streets with music and colour, before ending at the Auditori Julio Iglesias, where a main-stage afterparty takes over for the rest of the evening.

The days before and after are packed with side events: a pool party, a drag show built around a high-heels race, a white party, and evening crawls through the old town's bars and clubs. The parade itself is free to attend, while the bigger club and pool events sell tickets.

The festival runs under its own name, deliberately separate from Benidorm's traditional town festivities, and bills itself as one of the biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations on the Costa Blanca. Visitors who mostly know the city for its high-rise skyline and package-holiday reputation get to see a different side of it here, one where the seafront promenade turns rainbow-coloured for a few days and the old town dances until dawn. For many international guests, that mix of beachfront setting, Mediterranean nightlife, and openly lived queerness is exactly why they keep coming back year after year.

About Benidorm

Benidorm Pride lights up the Costa Blanca as one of Spain's most vibrant LGBTQ+ celebrations, drawing crowds from across Europe to this iconic coastal city. The centerpiece is the grand main parade that winds through the bustling streets and culminates on the stunning Levante Beach, where festivities explode into a week-long extravaganza. Hosted around the famous Julio Iglesias Auditorium turned Pride Arena, the event features electrifying concerts, dazzling shows, and non-stop parties that capture the essence of summer's final hurrah.

The LGBTQ+ community in Benidorm thrives in the historic Old Town, a charming area filled with welcoming venues where the scene first took root. This neighborhood pulses with energy, offering a safe haven for locals and visitors alike. The Pride movement here embodies resilience and joy, evolving from grassroots gatherings into a major festival that promotes visibility and unity. Beach parties and pool events add to the allure, making it a perfect blend of relaxation and revelry.

For English-speaking travelers, particularly from the UK, Benidorm Pride holds special appeal due to the city's popularity as a go-to holiday spot. Affordable flights, familiar British pubs nearby, and an international vibe make it accessible and exciting. Many Brits flock here for the lively atmosphere, combining seaside fun with queer camaraderie. Expect foam parties, drag spectacles, and beachfront DJ sets that resonate with Anglo audiences seeking sun-soaked adventures.

Beyond the glamour, Benidorm Pride champions inclusivity, supporting community outreach and allyship. It's a welcoming space where everyone can dance freely under the Mediterranean sun, celebrating love in all its forms. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, this festival promises unforgettable memories and lasting connections.
