About Derby Pride
Derby Pride takes place in Markeaton Park, one of the city's largest green spaces on the edge of the centre, and it feels a lot more like a family fair and picnic in the park than a protest march, which sets it apart from many other Pride events.
The day starts early: a small fairground opens in the morning before the march itself sets off later in the morning. It loops once around part of the park and finishes at the entrance to the main festival site, where a main stage, market area and several themed tents sit next to each other.
