About Frankfurt am Main

Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Frankfurt, also known as Frankfurt Pride, is one of the most important events in the annual calendar of the city's LGBTQ+ community. Taking place each July, the celebration attracts thousands of visitors from around the world to celebrate the diversity, tolerance, and rights of the queer community.

In 2026, Frankfurt's CSD will run from July 16-19, with the main Pride Parade on July 18. The event combines political activism with vibrant festivities and offers a diverse program of stage performances, discussions, and information about the local gay and lesbian scene. Beyond the main parade, the weekend features numerous dance parties, live music, and family-friendly events throughout the city.

Frankfurt Pride honors the history and struggles of the LGBTQ+ community, commemorating the Stonewall Riots of 1969. The event is supported by various organizations including AIDS-Hilfe Frankfurt and provides a platform for political debates and calls for equal rights. Simultaneously, CSD is a major celebration where the community expresses its identity and pride while building new friendships and connections across the region.
