About Pinneberg Pride
Pride Pinneberg has become a fixture on the queer events calendar of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Since its debut under the motto "PinnePride: Pinneberg ist bunt!" ("Pinneberg is colorful"), the small town near Hamburg has held an annual demonstration for equality, diversity and acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex people. Pride Pinneberg regularly invites everyone to join a colorful march, rally and information fair.
The event is organized by LSVD+ Verband Queere Vielfalt Schleswig-Holstein e. V., together with a local organizing team. The traditional meeting point is Buchenhain on Drosteiplatz in Pinneberg's town center, with the program starting at 1:00 pm. Visitors arriving by public transport can reach the meeting point via the S3 suburban train line, stop "Pinneberg".
As with every Pride event, the day centers on standing up against discrimination and for the legal and social equality of queer people — a message the organizers have repeatedly connected to everyday life and the workplace in previous editions. After an opening rally, the parade moves through the streets of the town center before concluding with a closing rally. Music, speeches and information booths from local and regional organizations accompany the march.
Updated details on the route and stage program are published by the organizers ahead of each event on their website and via Facebook and Instagram under the hashtag #PinnePride.
