One of the largest CSDs in Lower Saxony. The procession starts at Opernplatz and leads via Georgstraße and Leibnizufer through the city center back to Opernplatz. The organizer is the association andersraum.

Hanover Pride 2027

The CSD Hannover extends over two days: The kick-off rally and demonstration will continue on the first day with a stage program with music, the second day will be quieter with church service, community contributions and a political question and answer session. From the morning there is also a meeting offer for those coming alone at the opera house.

About Hanover Pride

Hannover's Pride march starts and ends at Opernplatz, right in the center of Lower Saxony's state capital, in front of the historic opera house. It's organized by a long-running local association that has spent decades building queer visibility in Hannover and turned the event into one of the biggest Pride gatherings in the state.

The march loops through downtown via Georgstraße and Leibnizufer before returning to Opernplatz, and regularly draws tens of thousands of participants. What makes Hannover distinctive is that the event runs across two days instead of a single afternoon: after an opening rally and the march itself, day one continues with a stage program and live music into the evening, while day two takes a quieter turn with a church service, community contributions and a panel discussion with local political representatives.

For people attending alone, there's usually a dedicated meet-up point near the opera house designed to help make local connections — a detail not every German Pride event offers. Overall, Hannover leans less on pure party atmosphere and more on a program that combines political demonstration, communal gathering and low-barrier participation.

Opernplatz sits right next to the Kröpcke light-rail stop and is also a short walk from the main train station, making the whole event easy to reach without a car.
