Norden Pride 2026
Make waves! With fresh wind for diversity! With this motto, we are once again setting an example for diversity, visibility in rural areas and all year round! Founded as an initiative of the North Youth Parliament 2024, we see it as obligated to let this event, which is now more important than ever, take place again this year on 10.10 in the beautiful East Frisian north.

About Norden Pride
Herbst Pride Norden, the Autumn Pride of Norden, is a fairly recent addition to Germany's Pride calendar. The idea started with the town's youth council, the Norder Jugendparlament, which wanted a visible sign of support for queer people in a rural part of the country. The event is now run by the newly founded association Queeres Norden, with backing from the regional Queeres Netzwerk Ostfriesland.
The Pride takes place every October and opens with a march through the town centre, starting at the central market square. The march ends with a rally featuring speeches and music, followed by information stalls from local and regional groups and an evening party.
Norden is a small town in Lower Saxony, close to the North Sea coast, in a region where queer life had little public visibility for a long time. The Autumn Pride changed that. What began as a youth council initiative has grown into a fixed yearly event that keeps gaining support, from local associations to businesses that now fly rainbow flags for the occasion.
For many visitors from the surrounding area, the Autumn Pride is the one time of year queer life in Norden becomes visible in public. That is the point of the event: not just a celebration, but a recurring gathering that shows diversity has a place outside the big cities too.
